My apologies if a thread like this already exists. I looked, and it doesn't appear to.
So yeah, what's your favorite album and why?
Mine is Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon (shocker, I know) because each song has it's own feel to it and tells its own story in a way. Oh, and it holds record for longest album on the charts and ranked second for most purchased album ever.

I love Dark Side of the Moon but I don't think its nearly as good as The Wall, which is my answer to your question. I just like that it tells a complete story and it ends happily. My second favorite album is Sgt. Peppers Lonly Hearts Club Band.

The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon are my two favorites. I go trough stages of liking the Wall more, and vice versa.

At the moment, the self-titled album from Icon for Hire. I've always loved her lyrics, they're so beautiful and speak to me in so many different ways. The album also manages to make me like it even though it incorporates elements from music genres I totally despise: pop and rap.
I also love Wide Awake - Picture Me Broken, partly because of the singer's voice. A lot of people would dislike it but I appreciate the uniqueness and the way she's not ashamed of her unorthodox tones. It gives me a little measure of hope for my own singing, since I don't exactly have a classically pretty voice either. It makes me feel like if she can make it, so can I.

Mine is Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon
That's my favorite Pink Floyd album as well. But it's imposable for me to pick an overall favorite. It would be like "this one, no wait that one, no this one..."

I have The Wall and Dark Side Of The Moon on vinyl.
My answer is Judas Priest- Unleashed In the East. Because they performed just as good as they do in studio and it's a live album.
