I think he did pretty good, no doubt the best State Of The Union I've heard him give in his presidency. He made some good points on foreign policy, I agree with him on "American must move off a permanent war footing". He layed out the straight facts on the economy, we've added a lot more jobs and we are producing more domestic energy. The part where he introduced the soldier that was injured in a IED attack got me a little emotional.
Give any feedback or thoughts on Obama's speech.

I didn't actually catch it I'm waiting for the full video to be posted. I will say though I've encountered many people who found a lot of what Obama saying to be and I quote "bullshit". Tell me if you agree with this statement?
"As a youngster growing up, it was always fascinating watching the Satate of the Union address to see what the Boss had to say. As a young adult, I found it interesting because what he had to say affected my family & myself. Today, I have ZERO interested in what his failure in chief has to say... For my health & sanity, I can no longer watch the state of the union..."
The only reason I bring the following above up is because I got into minuscule argument with the person who said this, and it left me slightly stumped. Still though what would you say to this long quote above?

Although I'm obviously not an Obama supporter, he generally gives good speeches. He knows how to energize people and make them want to get out and accomplish things.
I did not think this was one of those speeches. He physically looked tired, like he was worn out and had given up. He stumbled over a number of topics, which he almost never does. He didn't even understand his own MyRA program and left most people very confused about it. He didn't really propose any new ideas, different from his normal platforms. And also came off as argumentative by saying if Congress doesn't act, he will do it unilaterally. That's not a productive way to get the sides to come together.
The end where he told the story of the Army Ranger was very touching and the best part of the speech.
I can't blame him for too much in the speech. He's now a lame duck president in an election year for Congress. Nothing will get done this year, because neither side wants to anger voters at this point. And both sides have negative things on their plates.
Generally speaking, I think America is better off when Congress does nothing. Whenever they pass legislation it ends up helping half the people and hurting the other half. It's better off if they stay out of most peoples lives.

It gives me hope in humanity that others see that when Congress acts it usually makes things worse not better. I do not like the fact that Obama is such an Imperialist handing out decrees that fly in the face of the constitutional system of checks and balances. It shouldn't be allowed and that is one thing Congress could act on but won't. For that matter the Supreme Court should act on it.

I didn't watch it, but I heard that he said something about planning to side step congress, which I totally disagree with. I mean, it's unconstitutional. Can anyone confirm if he really said this?

He said he'll do all in his power. Congress has blatantly stopped all he has tried to do which in itself can be seen as unconstitutional. I don't see Obama as this Devil people say he is.
