i recently came out to my mom as a bisexual, explaining the entire process of how i discovered myself and how painful it was and also how i tried to explain that human sexuality as a spectrum. it's hard to just fit under one label.

she accepts me, but she doesn't fully understand how being anything but straight really works. and i understand that because in her generation they weren't taught about it. so she said she'd be willing to learn more.

i'm having some trouble finding solid websites or videos that aim to teach about human sexuality/sexual orientation/bisexuality. how you're born that way, it's not a sin, etc. would anyone be able to share some? preferably family-friendly ones (i don't want anything flat out saying your son likes dick LOL) that can educate my mom on the topic of orientation. thanks so much! :)

There's a website called http://belongto.org/ that has a parent resource section it's an Irish one, but same principles. I'm pretty sure I've also seen resources on about.com and Wikihow but I don't remember exactly where I found them. You could also try the Trevor Project :)
