Help me as soon as possible

I'll be quick. My bro had that one bff since he was 7. I loved him also, I just loved him (as a friend, i was too young to know anything about other stuff) 5 years ago (or more) he moved out. We didn't hear of him all these years until last Sunday. He messaged me and we talked till midnight. I was so happy. Few days ago, we were talking almost 3hrs and...he asked me out. Idk what to do. He is great and we have the same interests but he's bro's bff and he's 6 years older (I'm 16) and he's in friend zone. But I loved him...what da ya think what should I do? I'm scared so much, I feel like I don't know him...My bro doesn't know that he asked me out. Not yet...He also said that he's scared too coz he has never had a girlfriend before/been on a date/asked someone out. I asked him does he just like me or is he in love with me. He told me he may be in love, he's not sure. Ugh why is this so complicated...?

You sound unsure of whether you should go along with this date because of the past. You could go on the date and get to know him, if you feel like you don't already know him.
I just have one issue with this.... he's 6 years older, isn't there a law against that... not trying to be the bearer of bad news...

Thank you so much for the fast reply <3 I asked like 8 people and all of them said I should go out with him. About the law thing...I'm not from America. In my country you're allowed to date older guys if you're +16. I've checked it already ;)

He's 6 years older than you and is your brother's best friend. Let me tell you something but I'm pretty sure it'll make you a little upset but i think you should know this.


Not all the guys older than you will love you in thaaaat way. Believe me, I've seen alot of those things. The guys I used to study with also did the same things only with girls who were 2 years younger than they were. And it always resulted in either they (the girls) getting mentally scarred or physically scarref. Even the girl I love has a 3 years older BF and now doesn't trust alot of guya.

That aside, dont jump to conclusions that fast. Even though he's your brothers bff, they haven't talked properly for years so who knows what he is upto. But who am I to tell you what to do?
Just get to know him for some weeks (months?) and then decide. Thanks!! Take care!
