A question about reputation

Yes I have a question about reputation.

Now when I receive rep does it matter who the person I get it from? Like if I get rep from a Global Mod I get more than if I get some from a member that is not a mod or of less status?

I dont think that really matters to be honest everyone should get the same amount

Well, to basically sum it up, when someone gets reputation from another member, they will receive the ammount of that member's "Rep Power." So if Valerie gave you positive reputation, you'd get 10 more points. A member's Rep Power is based upon several things: reputation points and duration of membership are key factors. So basically, the longer that a member's here, and the more positive reputation he/she gets, the higher Rep Power he/she would have. And so, it doesn't depend on whether or not the member is a staff member or not (nor does it depend on the rank of a staff member).

I have another question. If someone gives me some rep would that take away from their rep?

Nope. Only way to lose rep is to receive negative rep.
