Was just curious about others thoughts on this.
If guys get them because its their body's way of naturally realising cum for them if they havn't in a while on their own... then why do us girls get them?
For us do you think its just cuz we need a release too and its our body telling us we need to have more O's/"me time"?
How often do they happen for you?

I believe they have the same function... Sometimes I wake up from them having an orgasm!

Thanks for the responses so far :) I am also mainly confused/curious as to how it happens ( i.e Am I touching myself during my sleep/my puss is making contact with the bed...or is my mind doing everything?). Like are our minds that powerful enough to make me orgasm? ( not just the feeling of one but actually make my puss contract and pulsate)
Sometimes i have noticed that i'll wake up starting to hump while it happens and other times have the strong urge to m-bate (usually end up m-bating anyways since i wont be able to sleep).

hmmm I see, I don't think we play in our sleep I think we just finish from our minds since were very turned on :)
I know what you mean waking up that's kinda of happened to me as well so I guess we might touch but I don't think so :/

"we just finish from our minds"
I agree with this for sure because it seems that the whole experience is a lose of control type deal. Like when it happens il notice in the dream that i can feel that feeling of near orgasm( hot stinging warmth in my tummy/puss) then when i am kinda waking up its like my mind notices i need to cum so it makes my clit pulsate until it just sets off the O.
Its a great feeling i must say when the involuntary pulsing happens....it almost feels as if like an un-attended air pump filling up a small tire until it bursts (the air being that hot tingly feeling filling up my puss/clit with each time it pulsates)

Happened to me dozen times, I love it when it sorta wakes me up at the peak of the build-up so I can finish myself completely aware taking control over it and making it even more amazing.

Yeah exactly! And whats crazy about these ones is that the build-up that has happened in during sleep is always sooo intense and i always wake up on the brink of almost cumming. Its like 95% of the work has already been done without doing anything lol.

lol true. I like it like that most times if i am not tired and really need to get to sleep. Most times tho i dont have a choice cuz when its already at 95% its soo intense that all it takes sometimes is a few rubs and one time i remember just rolling over and pressed my clit hard into the bed and just that alone set of a wonderful orgasm.

I have sexual dreams all the time. However, I only orgasm one or two times a month, but regardless, I always wake up wet after a sexy dream. ;)

I've actually never had a wet dream, at least I don't think so - but it does seem like your body just really needs the release or you were touching yourself/rubbing up against the bed in your sleep.

Yeh like there have been times when il wake up during the sleep-gasm and already be going to town on the bed. Then there are other times when il wake up not touching anything and everything will be contracting down there plus my pelvic area will be slightly moving involuntary cuz of natural reflex i guess.
Then there are the times when il wake up with that near orgasm feeling in my puss and like a moth to a lamp il instinctively roll over and press myself into the bed/grind it out cuz il need to cum badly at that point.
So yeah your right things can get pretty intense lol

If I don't masturbate for about 10 days then I'll have a wet dream, although it's almost impossible to get to sleep if I've not touched myself for 10 days so it doesn't happen very often! It's worth it though coz I love waking up right on the edge of having an orgasm or right in the middle of one. My first ever orgasm happened just after I'd woken up.

I'd say it has to do with sexual tension.

I'm a psych student at my local community college, and we covered dreams as part of our first semester.
When the body is asleep, the brain continues to receive and send information from and to the body. A side effect of these chemical signals causes physical arousal in both genders, and (depending on how you sleep and what you wear) your genitals can be easily stimulated. This causes the mind to interpret these signals and can bring on sexually themed dreams. These dreams are not linked to any mental release, sexual tension, or subconscious phenomena, they are only the result of physical chemical signals that are unavoidable during sleep.
This is a scientific explanation based on observable phenomena, I hope it explains things well enough
