So my girlfriend thinks she might be pregnant:/

About 1 week(roughly the 15 of jan) ago we had sex without protection, we thought it would be okay cause she is on birth control. We agreed to stop after a bit cause we didn't have a condom. But not till after I ejaculated inside her. A few min later I asked if she took the pill that day. She said she did but she took it roughly 3 hours late and 5 hours late before. So the next day we went (jan 16) and got the plan b pills from a doctor. We got told some side effects and other stuff. We have not taken a pregnancy test or gone to a doctor to see if she is pregnant because we think it would be to early to detect? Should we try anyways?

My girlfriend thinks that she might be having implantation bleeding, because she is spotting. We don't know if she is pregnant or if the spotting is still a side effect from the plan b pill. We also don't know when her last period was or her next one is suppose to be. Kinda guessing around valentines day.

I guess I just wanna know what is the time period of the side effects of the plan b pill? Or does she have implantation bleeding?

I know our options if she ends up being pregnant. Like abortion, adoption or keeping it. Is there any other options? And what should we do?

I am 17 and my girlfriend is 16. Any help or information is greatly appreciated.

Anything but abortion. All life is life and deserves life. But on the second hand the child deserves a good life. If y'all feel mature enough to give the Child a good life and love him/her then keep it. It all depends on maturity levels, financial situations and a number of things. If you cant aford for it, then i believe adoption is the ideal solution. I just don't believe in abortion. But to clarify, if someone is pro-choice, I do not want to get in an argument and respect all opinions.

Abortion in the early stage or adoption. I might consider raising it if I was financially ready

Well before you decide about what to do when the baby comes, she should take a pregnancy test. A lot of them are accurate from two weeks, so she could take one during the next week. Even if the first one comes up negative I think she should take another one a week afterwards just to be sure. And if the first one comes up positive it's probably right. The options afterwards are up to both of you, try not to do something that you feel forced into by parents, etc.
