So, lately, I've felt a bit a lonely, so I branched out to some people here on VT. I chatted with several people, but most of the conversations seemed a bit uncomfortable and tense. I've come to decide that it's just my social awkwardness. After I figured that out, I began to think--- I'm too socially awkward to have true friends, whether online or in real life. So I'm wondering, how many of you have felt like this, that your social awkwardness hinders you from making friends, or that you can't ever really have a true friend because of it? Or is it only me?

Same with me, I have one really close friend and even with her my awkwardness sometimes materialises. Luckily she's used to it by now.

Sometimes, when I'm on a bus and bump into someone I know, I just kinda freeze and keep quiet the whole trip, I don't know what to say. You're not the only one, I'm sure of that.

I'm totally like that. I don't even try chat here cause I know I'll suck and it and it will be awkward as hell. But, I might try working my way into it anyways. The thing is, don't give up too easily.

I have a few close friends and I'm generally OK around them, but I turn into an idiot whenever I have any kind of social interaction with other people. The stupidest things imaginable come out of my mouth at the worst time.
I don't really have that problem with people I meet online, though. It's easier for me to make friends over the internet than actually socialize.

I have always been a little awkward and I definitely think that this has held me back in life.
