It amazes me how so many guys and girls can just sleep with who ever then take the moral highground like they are oh so perfect and call others skanks and sluts and such.

I know a lady that's been with 30 guys and 3 girls and she's only 23 and shes carping on a stripper being a skank just because she dislikes the stripper!

Sorry if you are sleeping around with others and are not commited to one person or pretend ur commited to one person and still sleep around behind their back then your just as much a skank as the person you hate and call a skank!

Honestly I wouldn't call someone I don't know a skank, not that it's good to call friends skank. Someone's sex life is their personal business, even if they make it public just ignore it.

It's good to see so many people taking the moral high-ground here, and I used to be like that too, but not after today. I met with one of friends who I hadn't seen in almost two months, and she told me that she went to a party a few days ago and got drunk and had sex with five guys (she didn't say if that was overall or at once... I certainly hope it wasn't at once). She often posts photos of her ass on Facebook and Instagram just to get likes and followers. I still love her as a great friend, and this is only one side of her, but still, I found it pretty hard to think of anything else she was. She also occasionally cheats on her boyfriend whenever she feels like it, and thinks she has the right because they got into an argument of because she was drunk. As I said, I love her still, but it's pretty hard to excuse this behaviour.

I agree that calling someone skanky usually means you have an issue - ppl can't really judge others. I've done stuff some ppl could def call skanky - but other ppl wouldn't. Name-calling usually makes the name-caller look bad.

Well yes you are correct. It can be broken down even more. When women are talking bad about a girl they are pointing out the traits that they see in them self or a trait in which they are striving for.

And I agree - who cares if someone wants to sleep with tons of people and not be committed? That's their issue.

Like most responses here - it's all subjective. Girls "slut shame" all the time to put other girls down. Guys do it as well - but its usually because they're bragging or wanting to seem like studs. Tip to any of the boys reading this: practice discretion, you will be rewarded.

I wouldn't call someone a skank, but I think anyone who often has full on sex with someone they aren't in a relationship with, or only has relationships for sex, fits the description.

Precisely, and simply because that person doesn't live their life according to your morals doesn't mean that they are a so called "skank". Having sexual intercourse with multiple people doesn't harmfully affect your health in any way, so why should it be considered bad other than some peoples' morals saying otherwise.
