Tips for a boy growing long hair?

I'm going to grow my hair a bit longer before I go to uni as I had long hair once and really liked it. Is there any tips I should have on how to style it?

Up until I was 11 I had my hair really long. It didn't really style it that much. Sometimes a would use a blow dryer to make it less of a mess

In my honest opinion, there isn't much to do with long hair. Tuck it back, split it, and the occasional Mohawk. Also don't always shampoo your hair, it might damage it. Keep it brushed. Put it up in a pony tail at night if it's that long, I pull mines when I sleep D:

This thread made me realize how GREAT I am with dealing with my hair.

Once you get lazy styling it, there's no way back from tying it up :lol3:

This. Use a brush to get notes out, and another brush that can shine it. Condition is well and don't always use shampoo, it's harmful if you use it everyday.

Well I do have something to say, if you have curly hair, don't let it long, the most you can get with long curly hair is either a jew fro or you could split it and get a different look. If you have straight hair then go ahead and grow it. You can also do the Skrillex style if you want to get creative.

I've always had long hair. I part my hair to the right side mostly, sometimes the left side. My hair is very straight. I brush and comb it.
