...Is she against black people or something? If she is, she's not worth asking out. Or do you live in an area that isn't friendly to mixed race couples? Because otherwise it's sounding a little like maybe you're the one with the problem. Just ask her out, no one should care what race either of you are.

you know, i'm white and had a gf for 18 months who was dark (her parents have a variety of etnic backgrounds between them). it never bothered me and it never was an issue with my friends, he friends or anyone else. you just have to remember when it comes down to it that if you like each other, skin colour should never be an issue.
