Would you say this is normal?

Do you think it is normal for a guy to shave his underarms and pubic area? I do. I think hair on those areas for guys or girls is just weird. But shaving those areas for a guy seems weird to allot of people... so what do you think? :)

It's perfectly normal, nothing wrong with it and not really frowned upon.

I dont think that i would shave my pits but to trim the pubes is ok

It's all a matter of personal preference, I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

I heard that a lot athletes shave all of their body hair to quicken themselves. But hey its your body do what you want to do with it.

True, swimmers especially do that, even their eyebrows! My dad's an amateur cyclist, and I know a lot of them shave their legs. Given the helmet and all that, they don't shave their eyebrows or their heads, though (thank god. I've become accustomed to 20-50 year-old men with shaved legs in spandex shorts and jerseys, but no eyebrows... I'd never get used to that).

I think it depends on why you're doing it. If you're trimming a bit to keep errant hairs from straying too far, that's OK. If you're shaving everything because you find the hairs 'gross' or otherwise unacceptable, i'd personally encourage you to look a bit into the reasons you find them that way.


Guys get hairs under their arms and around their pubic area (and elsewhere), and their (our) bodies do 'other' things, too. It's best to understand all this and accept it, rather than deny or otherwise change it as a way of trying to change the feelings that accompany normal maledom.
