Hello my VT subjects.

My issue is that, well, I will be 16 in two weeks and I don't think I've hit full on puberty yet. I get horny all the time, I have pubic hair (lots of it) and I only have a few strands of armpit hair. Other than that puberty hasn't taken a real affect on me. I have not hit my growth spurt as I'm only 5'1-5'3 and I still have a small, skinny frame, Facial hair, forget about it, I only have the inklings of a mustache growing on me so I'm pretty much a babyface and my voice is so damn high I have people mistake me for a girl. Meanwhile I have friends YOUNGER than me growing full beards shooting past my height to a height where I can only dream of. And to cap it all off there a hell'uva lot stronger and bigger than me. What am I supposed to do? I'm sixteen stuck in a middle schooler's body.

Nothing's wrong with you, everyone is different you might just be a late bloomer, no need to stress out about it.. if you're 19-20 and it's still like that than that's different

Donīt worry, you will grow soon. I guess in 2 or 3 years.

Don't worry about it yet, you've still got time for puberty to properly kick in - like Spotlight said, if it gets to 19/20 and nothing has changed, then you can start to worry about it and speak to a doctor. It could just be your genes as well that either mean that you're a late starter or are supposed to be of that physique!

There's really nothing you can do but let your body grow naturally. I know it can be tough to see people around you grow faster than you, but don't worry about it. Sooner or later you'll be with them. If you're still like this after 20 years old, talk to your doctor.

Well would being born premature staunch anything.

Not really, no, because that would only be a couple of weeks out - it is more likely to do with your genes and when they are set to start puberty than being born early

No not weeks premature. I mean 3 months premature.

Three months prem? Still unlikely to cause that much difference as that would only put you three months behind if it were to make any difference at all, which it really doesn't. If you are really worried about it, then you can always see a doctor, but they'll probably just say that it's normal for some people to start late.

My twin elder brothers were born two months prem and they developed at different times to each other and we're not behind in puberty at all

You may at the moment just be a late developer. Doctors tend to only start hormonal treatment at 16 if you were showing no development at all (no pubes or anything). Do you come from a tall family? I'm quite well developed, but am only 5'5", and probably won't grow as I am a similar height to my parents. A lot of it is genetics, but look at your wider family (grand parents, uncles etc), as you may take after them if there's a real mix in Ur family.

My parents aren't tall probably 5'5-5"9 max.

Aha, that does make sense then, as it is likely in your genes then that you will be a similar height to your parents. You've still got time to grow yet though so you can probably expect to be at least the same height, if not a little taller, than them

I'm sure those who posted before me already said it, but there's nothing wrong with you. Puberty affects everyone differently and at different intervals. There's no need to be self-conscious about that; you still have like 6 or so more years of puberty to go through.

Don't worry about it - everyone goes through puberty at a different age, and 16 isn't unusual. It sucks but you can't change when it happens, so don't worry about it. I haven't hit puberty yet either, so you aren't alone.

stop stressing about it, when your growth spurt comes its going to hit you hard, so just ease up on yourself and let nature take its course, you will be just fine.

You have to be patient but there are two bits of good news:

1. You obviously have started puberty. That means there is no need to do anything other than wait - no need for investigations and treatment.
2. You are quite likely to end up bigger than those who have overtaken you and for the same reason that men are generally taller than women. The longer a guy grows at the slower rate before starting his growth spurt the taller he tends to end up.

What can you do; take tallness medication? NO!
It will all happen in it's own time I'm sure. There's nothing you or I can do about it.
(And btw, it's 'they're' not 'there' on the second-to-last line ;) )

Trust me you're fine. There's a senior in my school that's still kinda small and virtually hairless and I mean his legs look like a kids and nothing on his body or face. So you have plenty of time to go.

It might be your genes, I come from a very tall family and no surprise I'm tall. It also might be a combo of genes and being a late bloomer.
