Meeting online friend

I'm going to be going up to good'ol Scotland in February to meet a friend that I've never actually met physically before. We talk every day we can which is mostly every day. I met him on another forum similar to this around a year and a bit ago, we know everything about each other and have a right laugh on Skype and FB chat. I'm just really worried that when I get off that plane go through the arrivals hall and see him, I'll just kinda freeze and become all socially awkward and we wont have the chemistry we have when we talk online. I've never really met up with someone from online. :L

I know how it goes... You just need to literally act chill and be yourself. But yeah, it will probably be a teensy bit akward because it's a change from what you are both used to...just try and pretend it's not akward and hopefully it wont be XD

I've never met someone from online yet, but I share your feelings on what it could be like to actually see the person in front of you. Anyways best of luck!

I met an online friend a few months ago. It was slightly awkward at first as I hadn't talked to him a huge amount and two other people were meant to be there but had to cancel. The awkwardness didn't last long though once we found something to do we got along great. Since you seem to be much closer to your friend I doubt you'll have any problems. Be aware that it might be a little weird right at the start since this person knows all about you and you're so used to talking online, but it wouldn't last long. You could maybe talk to him about your worries, after all he's probably thinking the exact same thing! Hope you have fun :)

Just relax, and it will be a great time. For all you now, the one you're meeting could be just as nervous as you are. But once you hang with them for awhile, you'll get comfortable, and everything will be perfect. Have fun! :)

Chill and be your self :) i have past that 2 years a go with a girl that imet online and i travel to meet her :) it was kinda akwarnd at the start but hen i chilled and everyhitng was ok :)
