Helllo i recently got circumcised. I am 13 and today is day 8 of the healing process. I noticed that there is a lot of pus coming out of my penis and its been bleeding quite a lot. The only thing that stops the bleeding is some powder my dad got from the medical drug store. Is this normal? Should i go to the doctor? I know pus is a sign of infection.

As far as I know (forgive me, as an uncircumcised man, I have no physical experience) but there should be very little bleeding. Particularly 8 days after the procedure, I think you need to see a doctor, stat. Have your dad call the doctors office and explain the situation to the lady, I don't think it is serious enough for the ER or anything, but everything I have read specifically says there should be very little, if any bleeding and any continuous bleeding needs to be attended to. Try to keep the area clean in the mean time, but if it is leaking pus, then you need to see a doctor as nothing over the counter of a drugstore will help you. Good luck man.

I would go see a doctor about that. Until then just keep the area as clean as possible :/

Pus is not an inevitable consequence of cutting. It indicates an infection and, if not treated, that will delay or prevent proper healing. You need to see your doctor who will probably give you antibiotics or an antibiotic cream.

Please go to the doctor ASAP and if he has given you antibiotics, make sure you take them.

I donīt know why children prefer to be circumcised. It may be an infection.
In my opinion, circumcision is unnecessary, the foreskin will eventually coming loose.
Are you wearing clothes or not yet?
Has you been masturbating after surgery?

As most of us aren't medical experts, it's safe to say go to the doc and get checked. It's good for most medical worries, and if it's nothing to worry about, it will put your mind at rest

I was circumcised at 13 too. On the 7th day after my surgery, the doctor took my stitches out. There might have been a little drainage but I do not remember any puss. Just to be safe you need to check with your doctor. Where you had it done, they should have given you some home care instructions and who to call it you had any questions. You probably are OK but just to be safe, I would have it checked by a medical expert.

Sorry that everyone is making some kind of sex thing out of your question.

Pus means infection. Always bad. Always needs immediate attention, and I would choose professional attention if I were you. No question.

Look, I'm circumcised too but this is not an question for cut guys (neither uncut) because that's not normal. I mean, blood is normal after a surgery as you say, during the healing process but not pus.
You should at least call your doctor ASAP.

Good luck ;)

And is it nice to blame someone telling him that he has been mutilated when this person is suffering after the surgery, bleeding and with pus asking for an advice not for a judgement???

No it's not nice. And to suggest whether circumcision is mutilation, well this is certainly not the place either. But no one needs to resort to saying things like someone's head must be mutilated for an answer like that. The OP wanted advice on how to deal post-surgery, not an opinion. However that is no reason to make fun of that other poster, it's just not necessary.
