Does anyone else feel extremely uncomfortable getting changed in front of other guys?? I mean I'm gay and I shouldn't. The straight guys just like strip down to boxers without a care in the world

I'm not gay, but it is a problem that some guys have. I would just change without even thinking about it, because everyone else is doing it, so why shouldn't you?

It's true. Some guys are just like that. I's hard to say relax, as the more you think on it and try and relax, the more weird it feels. It's more a case of thinking on something else.

Some guys are like that- i'm bisexual, so, I (sorta) know what you r going thru.

Nah. I've been used to it being on multiple sports teams. I walk around my dorm hall in just my boxers sometimes.. Don't even think about it much

No it doesn't make me uncomfortable and I'm bi. I strip down completely (boxers off) like the other guys in the changing room, but I guess I'm used to it through lots of playing team sports and showering together.

Well I'm gay, and I never have this problem. I do know people who are shy like you so don't worry :D

I'm the same way. I'm just not very confident with my body. It's something that I'm working on, but it's not that big a deal since I'm done with I'm done with high school :P
I don't really have any advice, other than to try not to think about it so much...

That's kinda what I mean dude. I think it's stange for a gay or bi dude to feel uncomfortable. They shouldn't carr, and just look around at the fit guys in their changing room cos I do that too ;)

Well just coz I'm gay doesnt mean I go looking at all the people in the changing room all the time :P The reason i dont feel uncomfortable is because i was brought up to be open about myself, and ive never been shy about not having clothes on

I've never felt uncomfortable stripping to underwear but I would never go fully naked infront of friends.

Because your gay you probably don't like getting changed around other guys but if you were straight you wouldn't to be bothered by it from the most part

I can't tell you how exactly what you just put is exactly like me. Although i'm gay, i feel extremely self conscious around other guys and would never get naked around them in the locker room. I'm always that guy who wanders over to the stalls to change... I wish i had more confidence in the locker room. haha. To be honest though, i think a part of the issue for maybe just me or anyone else with my situation would be that we actually care what others think of us. Or at least i do. I think that because i'm gay, i'm worried that they are judging me when i'm naked. Sort of how guys try to impress girls and not disappoint them, y'know? :)

Some guys are just like that, and it's totally normal. I think it's because the straight guys are comfortable because they've most likely done this for years (assuming they've been in the athletic activities). Back when I had to change in front of other guys, I made sure that I wasn't seen. We all are different.

Well I'm kind of like that. I'm straight though… but I think that's partially because I'm a late bloomer so I don't have much armpit hair ext.

Well honestly I'm not gay but I'm not afraid to get changed in a locker room mainly because I think of it as a place where ur getting changed not thinking about other people while doing so... I have a friend who I talk to while I get changed just because his locker is close to mine but that's all. If u have a shy problem then that's what u have but other wise it's not because ur gay that u don't feel comfortable changing around other guys.

I dont see why sexual orientation should have anything to do with it.

i have no problem. i've played football all my life so i've always done it. don't worry about it, everyone's got the same parts as you. haha. and if you're worried about getting a boner just think of something really turn-offish like "beiste" (glee thing...lol).

Well I never was shy about it I personally don't care. However some people are different and might be shy however it doesn't matter if your gay,bi,or straight.

I used to be uncomfortable changing in the same room as someone else, but so long as we both keep our underwear on I'm not anymore. I'm straight, but I wouldn't be comfortable changing with girls though.

January 16th, 2014, 01:57 AM
I'm kind of like that, but I'm straight. If you never really did any sports then that might be the cause, as you're not really used to taking your clothes off in front of other people - that's the problem I have. If you just try to forget about everyone else at first and just do it, then after a few times you won't be so worried about it

I've never felt really comfortable about being naked in locker rooms because my classmates are ~2 years older than me. Because of the age gap, I always thought mine was smaller than the others', and for this reason I never got naked in school.

They're not attracted the way that we are to the people we change with so it's no big deal for them. I've always been super self conscious changing around other guys, and I believe being gay has a lot to do with that.

If you think abt it too much or act nervous it'll just make every day you have to do it that much worse. It shouldn't matter if you are gay, straight or undecided

You'll always get those type of guys that will happily strip in front of anyone because they prefer being naked.

I'm gay and don't give a shit what others think. At my boarding school everyone strips naked to change and/or shower. No big deal. If you get hard, don't worry, other guys will to. If anyone gives you any flak over it, disregard them or tell them it's normal and to fuck off. Don't take crap from anyone.

Whether you're gay r str8 I don't think it matters I don't really understand why guys are uncomfortable about it tbh

I'm not shy anymore, I've been doing this since 6th Grade and I've grown accustomed to it. I've also been naked and changed in front of other boys when i went on a trip. Don't sweat it. IF you get a boner, you get a boner it's apart of the male anatomy and puberty. If they laugh, then you say, "are you gay? quit looking at my dick." Simple as that. I was changing at the why and another boy just got naked in front of me and I tried not to look and then he covered himself up. I didn't get hard or anything after that but he was pretty well fit. Anyway, Good luck.

Well , I still cover up when changing, I think its just because i'm shy and don't want a lot of people seeing me even though I am gay.

And its all because of my extreme shyness and acute topophobia.

nah, it can really matter if attracted to some. I used to get nervous for hours before. I'd worry if i got aroused or stared without realizing i might not make it out of there alive...
To the OP, just try to think of math problems or other boring shit or some ugly old teacher.
