I personally had about 10 sex partners since I was 18 and started legally having sex; I'm 20 now. Two of them were with ex-boyfriends. Always did safe except with first boyfriend.

I don't think number really matters too much. Just make sure you're not like having sex with some random person every week. That and when around this age, I think it fine to mess around when you're not yet steady with someone. Just always be safe if you choose to have random sex with guys/girls, and be prepared to be cut off from random sex when you find a boyfriend/girlfriend. Trust me; that's a necessity.

My first boyfriend was first a random sex guy, and he couldn't be bothered to turn off his hose for other guys while with me. Just warning you guys to be not so hooked up on random sex for when you find a boyfriend/girlfriend. It's no problem for me, but it can make some have a hard time give up having constant sex with random guys.
