Its possible to be too close in the wrong way for things like that.

Like everyone else said above, it may work in movies or porno or something but i wouldnt be going about trying to covertly make something happen as if it were planned or something. Let whatever happens happen naturally, that way whatever DOES happen you know everyone was ready for and (hopefully) okay with. if you try to force something you risk putting people in uncomfortable situations, and I at least know I wouldn't want to be put in that situation from a close male platonic friend. Idk how you feel about that though.

If you really want to try with them and wont take advice not to, the only thing you can do is respectfully ask in a time and place where its comfortable, natural, and above all, appropriate. ALWAYS be respectful and understanding to whatever their response is, its a sensitive situation for everyone involved. What may be fine for you might not be fine for someone else, which is why frankly its a bad idea.

Note im NOT advocating for it, but if it happens it happens, if it doesnt you still have great friends and you should be happy for that.
