I like this boy in my year but the trouble is he's popular and i'm unpopular. He doesn't know but I think he would die of embarrassment if he found out that I liked him. I don't know what to do!! please help!!

Hmm. I can't give much of a helpful advice in these few details. Do you know each other personally? Are you friends with him? or does he like you back? and I don't understand why would HE die of embarrassment if he found out that you like him, if he's popular its normal for him finding out that girls like him.

If he likes you too then go for him, popularity has got nothing to do with feelings, being popular is not a barrier as long as you get along well and you're happy being with each other. There's nothing to be afraid of getting to know him more and see what happens. If you realized you're not really reasonably attracted to him then go for a guy who you will not be embarrassed to talk to.
