Until I finish A Link Between Worlds, it's always going to be A Link to the Past.

Why? I love the top down style of Zelda game, and while the original is great...I love the length of ALTTP. This style game is perfect for the 3DS imo, and I think ALBW is proof of that.

I agree! I think they pulled of A Link Between Worlds smashingly :)

I played 1-3, 8-13, 15-17 and from those i have to agree with ALTTP. Going classic is always a fun thing to do. I feel like new games lose their value over time but classics like that are always going to be fun. The fact that i just replayed it for the Xth time doesnt help lol

Hold up. Do you mean to tell me that we have TWO Zelda fans here now? I'm beginning to like you, Alex.

I like to separate the 3D and top-down Zelda games, as the latter is usually more exploration based, while the 3D ones are more combat based.

That being the case, since I've only played 3 top down Zelda games to completion, (Phantom Hourglass, Link's Awakening, and A Link Between Worlds,) I'm going to go with the last one.

As for my 3D choice, Twilight Princess was the game that got me started on the series while Skyward Sword gave me absolute faith in it. They both blew me away but I think the win goes to SS.

It's great to see another TLOZ fan :) I own every Zelda game, unless you count the 3 which I only have on 3DS Download (Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, Link's Awakening) and I love them all...except maybe Zelda 2, not a bad game but just not Zelda-ish enough....
I've completed all of them except Oracle of Seasons, Zelda 2, Four Swords(I cant get anyone to play with me) and Link's Awakening.
Personally I dont like to seperate them because I see them all as part of the adventure, but yeah that's just opinion....
Anyway, May the Triforce be with you :D

My favourite is Spirit Tracks. The only 3D game I've played is Ocarina of Time (so obviously enough that's my favourite 3D one for the moment) but my brother is offering to let me play A Link Between Worlds, so my favourite could change.

Edit: Does anyone have any of the special edition Zelda Nintendos? I have the gold Zelda DS Lite and my brother has the Zelda 3DS. I love them! To be honest I don't know if I'd buy any of the ordinary nintendos the Zelda ones are so much cooler :P

Majora's Mask hands-down and I haven't even finished it (it would be done sooner if they did a 3DS version *cough* I'm not itching to break out the GC again). I haven't played many of the handhelds. Actually, none. But Majora's Mask probably because I'm a freak when it comes to the dark and disturbing. Can't get enough of anything in that genre so it's a given it would be my favourite. Ocarina of Time is still very close to my heart. Third is Windwaker. I rented TP once, don't really remember much, and I was too young to be good at video games before the NES died, but I did play the original two.

Interesting...So I'm guessing you have the collectors edition Zelda collection with Zelda 1 and 2, Ocarina and Majora?
