What if we had a special color for diary owners just their names not their faces or anything and like how mods and global mods and everyone else has their titles under their names why don't the diary owners too that way diary owners can have some recognition and it also doesn't confuse them with mods because their faces stay the same.

There's no reason for diary owners to have their own color. You're a regular member just like the non-diary owners and aren't any special or privileged in any way than owning a diary.

I don't think so because diary owners are just regular members like anyone else. And probally 80% of the active members own or co-own a diary.

I didn't mean like showing some sort of superiority but just to show that they have a diary without searching through all of them trying to see who has one and I know that some members put it in their signatures but thats even worse trying to search through all pots looking for that user to see if they have a diary I just wanted an easy way for people to see who has a diary. And i know what some of you are thinking they still have to go through every diary to see whos it is but they'll that a name will be there somewhere

I know but not everyone sees it though and most of the time it goes unnoticed it took me a while to find it.

But it lists the moderators in each diary. Its really not that difficult to figure out. The color won't even tell you which diary they own. A color isn't needed.

I'm speaking more in terms of convenience especially for new members I have been here for a little over five months now searching for a way to tell who are all the mods and who owns which diary and it took me till today to find it and then it was only because I found a very old post about it and some other members aren't going to go to those lengths to find it they might just give up right off the back

Well that's life for you really. You have to learn, remember and get used to things. 6,000 members have coped over the last 4 years.

And it never occured to you to just ask someone? I've always thought we all made it very clear that if you need help, you should feel free to just ask.

But not all of them hated the idea of recognition of diary owners. I didn't just post this thread without doing some research first. I've looked at other forums and also gone through some of the archives on here and a lot of the other forums with diaries do have special colors for them and so far no one's complained and the idea of some kind of diary symbolism has been suggested before

because I'm not going to be the last person to suggest something like this and when i said it should be considered in the future I meant it more as an alternative to whatever other wild suggestions that might be made not saying that everyone should get together and decide to have it out of nowhere

The thing is a diary owner is exactly that, a diary owner. Not a mod, not a staff member, therefore no need to distinguish and make them stand out.

I have never had the need to distinguish between a non diary owner and a diary owner. If you ever do need to know who owns the diary as already stated above there is the forum leaders list and also if you visit the diary at the bottom of the page it says who the owners are.

But at this time and for the foreseeable future a separate colour I don't think is necessary.

I don't think it's really needed. I mean diary owners are just like any other member. I just think it's not needed. You had a good idea and I was with you for a second but I think we need to stay away for special colors or faces for diary owners.

They aren't really special, they're just regular members with a forrum theyre in charge of. I remember once upon a time, If you were a mod of a diary, your name showed up as a mod
