Why do I suddenly want a relationship? It never bothered me before.

Lately I've noticed I've really been wanting a relationship with someone. Maybe I am lonely, which I am and at times introverted. Lately seeing couples and close friends is having me wish for that. I just am new to this, because it never bothered me before. I don't want anything physical right-off even though that isn't a bad want, but I want someone to talk to sometimes, someone to love me back, hold me, just someone. Ever felt like this?

I understand, This is how a LOT of people feel, there is no need to be worried. Wanting a relationship is just a healthy part of being a teenager.

I've always felt like that in the past months, but I think I would prefer a best friend than a girlfriend. Relationships need a lot of commitment in order to succeed, I don't think I'm ready for one, at least for now.

Actually most of my friends and acquaintances are all in relationships. Plus, I live with my mom and she always talks how she is tired of being alone and wants a husband and I guess al of this makes me feel like I need someone too. None of my friends and I are very close and I am kind of a loner.

I can certainly relate to being a loner.
But even we have that inherited inkling for some kind of a significant other.

I completely understand this, as I am experiencing this right now. Like you, I am an introvert and a bit of a loner, and I want someone to be with. I live in a paradox in that I love and hate revealing stuff about myself, but at the moment, I feel like I will explode with emotions if I don't have someone to share them with, someone who loves me back and who would be willing to share theirs with me.

That's it with me. I try to never be jealous but I must admit that when I see couples young and old happy and coincidentally both beautiful people it makes me wonder if could ever find that love with another. I do and don't care on looks but I would like to find someone to at least talk to.
