For a while now I've been feeling nauseous and vomit every morning. It gets to the point I feel so exhausted and shaky.I know there's no way I'm pregnant ,but something must be causing this. It's 3:30 am and I'm already vomiting - this will continue until about noon.During this I can not stomach food and it's hard to keep fluids down. Accompanying this I also have headaches (sometimes) as well as a general feeling of weakness.I don't know if I virus could go on for this long either ,but It soon goes by lunch time only to return the next morning.

I know I'm not stressing out any more than normal so I don't think its stress. But my general health hasn't been too good. I've had 6 uti's since November so I haven't had long between courses of antibiotics- The 3rd one progressed into a full on kidney infection where I ended up on IV and morphine for a week in hospital.

Has anyone else had similar issues ?

So you haven't had sex at all right. How long has this been going on? Do you feel any pain? It could be a UTI , Flu, or maybe a gallbladder problem but you really need to go to the hospital. That is horrible.

I'm not a virgin ,but that was due to assault.I thought flu,but I don't ache nor do I have any other symptoms and it soon goes by the afternoon and returns in the morning again.I'm barely sleeping now or eating because of it so it would be nice to know whats going on.I did go to hospital last week because it was severe ,but I was so flustered I didn't mention it was all the time as I thought it was separate. All my obs were fine apart from my heart rate.

Unlike when I had the kidney infection im not in agony.I have a slight headache and my stomach muscles ache due to the vomiting, but im fine - just a little weak. It's been going on since November maybe, but it was just the feeling rather than vomiting at first or it was a little bit,so I thought it was just unsettled because i'd been asleep. It's not until recently ive taken notice. Now It's every day from about 2-3 am to noon.If I had other symptoms it would make sense, but vomiting on its own is strange.

Could it be a stomach virus or maybe food posioning. The next time you go to the hospital tell them everything.

I'll get on the phone and see if the doctor can fit me in.I was wondering if a hormone inbalance could cause this ? I'm on the pill to calm my heavy periods down.I doubt food poisoning could go on for this long and I dont think its a stomach virus.

Good, don't forget, tell them everything, don't let anything back.

Scratch that.Last night around 1am I decided to make pasta ,this morning I didn't vomit so I think it's due to sugar levels.I have had a few issues in the past with it,but as im not diabetic they wont help me.Guess I should go buy some stuff that I can make at night.

Okay, but I still think you should go to the doctor and tell him/her what's been going on. You never know, it could start-up again.

I'm a little scared of doctors so i'll wait and see if it starts up again.

See a doctor is the best advice

You need to see a doctor immediately. I realize I'm a week-and-a-half late, but you're symptoms are incredibly dangerous to have for more than a couple days time. You may have another infection, your antibiotics might not be working, you may be having a reaction to medication, etc.

I know it's stressful to have to see a doctor, but I really think you should see one as soon as possible, even if you know longer have symptoms. The doctor needs to know what's going on because it could be serious, and the only way to be sure is to get professional medical attention. You may be "over it" but it's possible that the symptoms were part of something more serious and it's better that you be safe than sorry.

I would advise seeing a doctor. These symptoms are quite severe by the sounds of it.

A few things come to mind when i read this:

-Do you vomit blood? or what looks like coffee grounds (or like you were drinking coke)?
- Any diarrhoea (if so details - bloody? mucus? pus? watery?)
- Any constipation?
- Any abdominal pain or cramping (describe - where, when)
- Problems swallowing?
- Heartburn?
- Any past medical problems? Any gut problems in the family?
- Any gynae changes - missed periods or heavy periods? And are you 100% sure you're not pregnant?

What you say about the blood sugar doesnt seem likly to me - vomiting would be more common with high blood sugars which wouldn't be cured by a midnight feast unless you sprinkle a teaspoon of insulin over. Low blood sugar would present with brain problems (dizzy, sweaty, blurred vision, confusion etc).

What does strike me as relevant is that you have had the 6 UTIs in quick succession. Im assuming you were on UTI antibiotics for all of them which can cause nasty GI infections.

Also H. Pylori is a bacteria that lives in the stomach and small intestine and can give rise to vomiting.

I advise seeing a doctor. We can sit here all night and guess at what it could be but in reality you need to be somewhere where someone qualified and examine you, take a full history, run tests and treat you.

Keep taking on fluids regardless of vomiting as some is still being absorbed by your body and this is important to keep you hydrated.

when i've been vomiting a lot there's a little blood ,but not an excessive amount(Yellow/green bile, rather than vomit) .As to the diarrhoea and constipation, none.Theres really no way I'm pregnant,I don't even leave the house >.>( someone said that so I did a test just to prove it which was negative ,I dont have sex so it would be) I'm on the pill for extremely heavy periods, although it messes around with how regular they are etc .. I don't know much about my fathers side as his real dad died .As for my mums side kidney issues and epilepsy are the main things I know about.I got a lot of pain with the 3rd uti which went up to my kidneys.I spent a week in hospital on morphine with that.

I was on antibiotics for the uti's. The first course I was allergic to so they changed them. They'd clear up and come back again which confuses me ,but they seemed to have stopped. When I wake up I'm still feeling nauseous ,week and I've started feeling dizzy too although I'm not always vomiting now.

One thing i've been getting the past couple of days is cramps,I assumed it was due to my period ,but that never came. They are higher up than period cramps ,but not as high as when I had the kidney infection and no way near as painful (I couldn't walk with them)I'm just feeling so weak all the time so i've been sleeping more.

I do need to see the doctor ,but when we phone they are fully booked :/ I'm not vomiting as much as I was so its harder to get an appointment ,i'll have to wait for one .

If there's blood that would be a sign that you need to be checked. It could be a bleeding ulcer or it could simply be the force of wretching has crearted a small bleed in the oesophagus.

Bearing in mind that pregnancy tests can give a false positive your doctor may want to order a pregnancy test if there was any sexual contact at all (not just intercourse)

the dizziness and weakness in the mornings would be expected after a night of heavy vomiting. Dehydration is the most likly reason for this and remember if you are vomiting keep taking on fluids.

if you assumed your cramps were period related then im guessing that they are lower abdominal cramps? could be appendix related or still a gynae problem.

Still need blood tests, examination and imaging for a diagnosis.

On a footnote - is the pain and vomiting related to what you eat? any specific foods cause it?

Theres no sexual contact. There was an assault ,but that was last year and I was tested back then for pregnancy and that was a negative.

Well I have issues with msg as it makes me vomit violently, but I check my food for that .I may ask for allergy testing while i'm there as well.

I was wondering if the pill could cause the issues ? I was on mefenamic and tranexamic acid when I was younger then when I turned 13 they put me on cerelle ,that never worked so they have given me the pill (everyday) I've had issues with heavy periods since I started .I was about 9 ,so it's caused issues.

My last post was where my input ends. I woudl be able to do no more unless we were in a position like is mentioned before where you could have an examination, tests and imaging done. You need to book an appointment with your doctor. Even if the appointment is for two weeks away take it and you can cancel nearer the time if you dont need it anymore. thats all i can offer at the minute without maybe blood test results etc
