I'm new here, so please notify me if this post breaks any rules!
So today I went to my doctor for something, and as we were wrapping up the appointment, she noticed that I hadn't been in for a physical exam since I was 13 (15 now). This is the age that I should be getting my mid-adolescence physical exam at. So she decided to schedule one in about 2 weeks. What should I expect from this exam? Also, she definitely doesn't shy away from anything involving genitals, if that helps gauge her examining style... I just don't know what to expect, and the whole genital exam thing kinda freaks me out. I'm at the age where doctors are supposed to check 'em during physicals. She also specifically called it a "head-to-toe" physical, which was not reassuring. So, what should a 15 y/o male expect in general?

just be cool and relax, for the exam, the doctor will touch you genital that include the balls and pull down your foreskin if you are not circumcision, and the rest is normal medical check of your body, just think of something disgusting when the doctor touch your genital that prevent you geting a boner.

You shouldn't have to worry. Everything else will be fine, and the genital check part of the exam takes but a couple seconds. First she'll feel certain areas around your testicles to make sure you are growing normally and that's about it. :)

We don't have 'physicals' here in the UK, but I should think that she'll just check that everything is growing properly and that there are no problems. She'll also probably check your testes for any signs of cancer, as you're at that kind of age now.

I guess since im "special needs" ive gotten a head to toe every year of my life.
The one thing I do not like about them is they are cold.
Cold floor, cold instruments, cold fingers.
The genital exam which i got the first time last year is nbd.
it kinda reminded me of when i got bathed when i was little.

There really shouldn't be much to worry about. Just take it easy, and let the doctor do their job.

Well unfortunately i'm a "hospital kid" so I'm used to people poking and prodding and and fiddling with things XD All I will say is that these people are professionals, so theres no need to be worried. Just think of it as an Auto Repair service, but you're the Toyota XD

I would be excited to have one but in the UK we don't have them unless you ask.
