So basically, i found an article about how the US views how boys should act based on their masculinity. This video shows how the US as a society, along with many other countries in the world, think that men have to be masculine and not show emotion. I think boys should be thought compassion, and emotion. Don't get me wrong, masculinity is not bad, but people take it to a level of rudeness and just an overall bad level of how they should act. Enjoy~ :)

I've seen this! I totally agree with it's point. But I think part of it is what masculinity is. I think the point, is that masculinity isn't promiscuity or getting drunk, or anything like that. To be a man, isn't to have the largest penis, or to have the most sex, but maybe more masculinity should be more defined as the quality of the man as a person.

Living For Love

I totally agree with what's shown in the video. It's just ridiculous that, as a man, I'm not allowed to cry, to say "I love you." to my son, to ask for help, to show others what I'm suffering, to even be anything else than what people are expecting me to be. It's like we're living in a prison or something. Thanks for sharing this.

Great post ! I totally agree with everything said, it's horrible that all those stupid expectations are thrown upon the male gender, although it's slightly more stupid that we just continue to perpetuate the cycle by playing into the stereotypes...

Great video!
These gender expectations indeed...
I do have a mask and if I were to remove it a lot of people would see a lot more of what I really am without hiding it automatically.
Gender is a spectrum.

I just love how girls can be as masculine as they want and no one cares but calls them strong women. But when a guy is less than masculine and maybe a little feminine or is masculine and is not a jerk people go crazy! Thanks for sharing this. However, please, From Chris, your text color is almost blinding to read.
Many cultures place high esteem on manhood and have coming of age rituals but those are cultural and I would not change it.
My mother is worried I am becoming feminine, I am very timid and at times I am too submissive, maybe its my sensitive nature, but I have always been met with grief from being so gentle. I know, even if I was a girl being so well, shy, and sensitive isn't necessarily good but it isn't terrible. Now, I wear masks, everyday for every thing. But teens are good at hiding.
