Me and my friend were hanging out after school together and I went over to his house and he asked me if i was circumcised and I told him that I am and he said he has foreskin and his penis can smell really bad and he said that he washes it a lot and he asked if I have wash my penis a lot to because if it smells and I told him that you don't need to if you circumcised and than he asked if he could smell my dick because he wanted to know if it smells and I told him no but I kinda wondered if that was too creppy he asked to smell my dick but what do you think ?

I'm sure u know it ain't as simple as smelling your dick, but do what u're most comfortable. This might be an invitation for u to experiment with him so think carefully

I think he was just curious. However in his case, he can easily grow smegma which is a very very nasty white cottage cheese like substance that can smell under foreskin. It's important he washes often and well. :)

It isn't normal for an uncircumcised penis to smell if its owner does even just basic hygiene stuff. The vast majority of UK males are uncircumcised and there isn't a national smelly penis problem! If there is a build up of smegma, it could be because of a health issue that means it is hard to keep clean. As for asking to smell you - I think I would have interpreted that as some kind of hint at experimenting, but maybe not. I'm just not sure what sniffing yours would tell him!

I would say (in a nice way, you don't want to offend you're friend) that he is obviously not washing enough and suggest that he maybe is'nt doing it properly.

As to the part where he wants to sniff you're penis...I would say that there is probably something else going on there, because that is definately a less than ordinary request. If I were you, I would just tell him to come clean if he's curious because you are his friend and wont judge him. Hope that helps :)

My answer was mostly ironic, not necessarily literal. Although it seems almost all agree with me. I can understand for curiosity if he wants to b/j, to see, touch or whatever but sniff? Is he a dog or what :confused:

Coming from a boy that was not circumcised until he was 13, an uncircumcised boy's penis can smell bad even with a lot of washing. For me that white cheesy stuff came fast and did not smell good. Your friend might truly had wanted to see the difference between being cut and having a foreskin. Asking to smell yours is a little strange but maybe really what he meant was that he wanted to see for himself why a penis without a foreskin does not stink. If you are not comfortable with that, just talk to him about what it is like to be circumcised. My guess he just wants to know what it is like to be cut. Once he understands that, he might want to get circumcised too which will get rid of the bad smell forever.

Certainly a circumcision might help with smegma, but if proper hygiene is not observed, the area can still smell, foreskin or not. On another note, getting a circumcision at a later age carries it's risk, as all surgery does, so one might want to consider all the ups and downs at getting such a surgery for a simple problem such as smell.


To the OP, I would say you should advise your friend that he should try to wash with soap during a shower and ensure that he pulls back his foreskin and pays attention there. I can't imagine why hes having such an issue, unless he's not washing properly. If he is sweating excessively, that could be to do with puberty, but if its out of hand, I would make a doctors appointment for a check up, perhaps something could be wrong with his sweat glands. You may also suggest that your friend pulls his skin back to pee, for maximum hygiene. Hope this helps
