I don't know if anyone here knows this but I go to school right by Arapahoe High School, the site of a recent school shooting. I don't actually go to that school, but like others at my own school, I was greatly affected and kinda traumatized by it in numerous ways and it's an event that I will always remember and think about from time to time.
After giving myself time to process, I decided that it would make a pretty profound college essay. But I don't know if that's appropriate. Obviously I wouldn't try to make it more dramatic than it was or all about me in an insensitive way, but it honestly affected me in a lot of ways and I consider it to be probably one of the most meaningful events of high school to me. What do you think?
