So i wasnt gonna ask this because i really dont care what anybody says i guess im just curious.
Me and my best friend have shared a bed whenever we were sleepover at each others houses for like 10 years we are both 19. We are both straight and both have girlfriends but when we are sharing a bed we always cuddle or spoon eachother. We have done this for years it has never bothered either one of us but this morning one of our friends came in to wake us up and we were spooning and now our friend is convinced we are both gay. I guess im just wondering if its really that messed up or if other guys do it to.

I wouldn't say you were gay. Obviously you guys are close, but that doesn't mean you are gay. I mean, I am gay, but I hug all my friends and at sleepovers, if its cold, we all snuggle up. It's nothing sexual, and my friends are cool, they don't even care that I'm gay. It's not messed up, you're fine. :)

I think it's terrible than in this day and age, a make can't even have innocent physical contact with his best friend without being looked upon as "gay". I say continue to do what you and your friend want and to damn with all the haters

Haha snuggling with your best friend doesn't make you gay! You're just close. :) Besides, you both have girlfriends anyways! You're perfectly normal.

Don't worry about it. You guys are just really close, and it's normal to do those things. It doesn't make you gay.

My cousin and I cuddle together in bed, especially when it is cold.
And there is zero anything sexual between us.
And I do have a boyfriend I also share a bed with on sleepovers to compare that to.
It is just rare to have a friendship like that
There is nothing messed up about a rare kinda friendship.
So don't let anyone mess it up for you guys.

As long as it doesn't lead to anything sexual and you only have feelings as friends, it should be fine. Not something I'd say in public, but there's nothing wrong with being that close with someone. In some cultures, it's acceptable to even kiss people you're close with, even two men, with it being completely platonic. Platonic means no romantic context, I'm a word nerd.

Because to him friends being like that is tabu.
But just make sure it doesn't "lead to anything else" even though
it has been going on for 10 years from when you guys were
9 to 19 years old - you just never know (joking of course)
it's acceptable to even kiss people you're close with, even two men, with it being completely platonic.
Ew, there is no way me and my cousin are ever becoming kissing cousins lol

Donīt worry, a lot of straight guys sharing their beds and cuddle or spoon eachother, a lot of my friends tell me the same story.

There isn't anything wrong with two friends doing it, you're just friends if he says it's gay he is obviously joking, jealous or homophobic, just tell him you are both straight and you've been friends for years and doing it for years so it's not a big deal

People today are homophobic, they see everything as gay even though 90% of those things gay guys hate it. An example, anal sex, I would surelly say there is a higher percentage of straight guys who engange in anal sex than gay guys (if not higher real close). 100 years ago only 8% of gay people did that, now some say 50% do or did (I believe that most of this answer is tried), but if you research better, you will find that almost no gay man likes to be fucked in the ass. From the minority of gay guys that do anal, the most of them that do just likes to penetrate and not being penetrated. Gay man are more cleaner than straight man (in some cases) so why would they like to put theirs dick on shit, or get something penetrated on them? Ignore him be happy, he is your bro and you know it, a lot of people today are homophobic so they see everything as gay. Gay guys if I'm wrong correct me!
I think you are right about the part where you said about straight people saying gay anal sex is wrong, but then they think its fine to have it with a woman. As a gay person, that really irritates me.

Maybe because most guys don't sleep as you do with your best friend. Anyway, don't give a s#$% what this guy is saying. Most important is what your best friend think about it.:yeah:

I thinks nothing makes you gay unless you are attracted to a guy and have anal sex. Experimenting or being curious or close contact like sleeping together does not make you gay.

I sounds like you have a great relationship with your friend. Don't be ashamed of that. Touching or even hugging another boy does not make either of you gay. I sleep in the same bed with my friends at sleepovers and so do many of my friends. We never wear more than undies and usually naked. Don't pay attention to the one that is running his mouth.

It can be weird to people who aren't really like brotherly close to any guy friends or the ones that are very anti homo

It sounds awesome that you've been doing that for 10 years. That's a really beautiful friendship. And he may have been jealous of that closeness that you two have. (When I read your story, I thought how great it would be to have a friend like you have.) I think you two guys are really lucky to have such a rare friendship, and don't let the haters hate.

It just sounds that you have a good friendship and that the other person has read more in to the situation than there actually was.

My best friend and I used to do the same thing. Even if we were just watching a movie. For us it was because we were close and loved each other. We both had girlfriends too. It's just nice to be able to be close with someone you love without worrying about relationship stuff.
Neither one of us would sleep if we were in the same bed and weren't at least back to back.
