Problem with my laptop

Okay, earlier today I was doing my homework. My laptop was on, but I wasn't using. A window popped up saying that my laptop had insufficient memory or something of the sort. I ignored it, cos I was busy, but five minutes later my laptop crashed. The screen went totally black and I couldn't turn it on. Anyone know what's going? I've only had my laptop for about 10 months, so I'm afraid my mom will kill me if it breaks.

The same thing happened to mine, i left it for like 2 months then tried to switch it on again, an it was all fine... :l Not sure if that helps :/

If it doesn't turn on, either your battery is not working or your power switch.

Or it could be more serious that your processor is bust.

Logically speaking, it could be anything. But judging from the error your laptop gave, I would go with it running out of memory and shutting itself off to prevent any damage or further issues. What I find weird though is that you couldn't turn it on.

I'm going to bet that either the memory or CPU go busted.

Aren't you able to turn it on now?
If not then some of the hardwares might have problems i'm afraid.
