Ok now I'm moderator for Johnny K's Island and I know that being a mod you are able to edit everyone's post if needed but the edit button isn't there.

Is that only for the main diary owners?

Diary owners shouldn't be allowed to edit other people's posts. It was causing problems in the past.

Yes as Andy has said you can only edit your own posts. There was a problem at one stage so diary owners abilities to edit everyones posts was disabled.

Hmmm I've seen some diary owners edit some peoples posts though. Here are some examples of proof.
