View Full Version : Telling you about myself. (potentially offensive)

Hey, VT members! I know I'm not exactly new here, but I'd like to give a little information on who I am. Not where I'm from, or what I do, but who I am internally.

Well, let's get this started.

To start, I'm a 'devout' Atheist (that's a hell of an oxymoron if I've ever heard one) what I mean by this is, I'm truly happy believing in nothing but the human race. When I was younger I never really questioned what my Christian family told me. As I grew older, I began to question everything. What does a smart person do when looking for answers? Go digging for them, of course! Turns out, in my eyes, there's more scientific evidence pointing toward things other than a form of God. No, I'm not a basher either. I fully defend my belief when in a debate with religious people, but I don't shun others for believing in anything.

I'm not very biased and I'm quite open minded. As I said earlier, I'm a sort of humanist. Granted there are some too far gone to really be a productive member of society. I'm open minded, but also forthright and honest about what I believe.
I believe we all have a fire burning somewhere in us that makes us capable of great things, we just have to find the means to uncage them. For me this is music, but let's not get into that.

If there's one major drawback about myself, it's that I'm against most forms of authority. I don't hate cops, or our president (although he is a politician, and all politicians suck) I've just never been fond of others telling me I can do this and i can't do that. I can do as I damn well please. I'm not going to commit murder, just because I'm an Atheist doesn't mean I don't have moral values. All in all, I'm [mostly] liberal, and don't take kindly to being contained. The biggest part of me that's NOT liberal? I'm against gun control. I'm a Kentuckian, I like my guns, OK?

I don't want to ramble, but now most of you know a little more about me.
Thank you for your time.
