Lately I've been looking to get into new music and am kind of in a stalemate with it. I'm into bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Strokes, Pearl Jam, Kings of Leon, Led Zeppelin, Minus the Bear, The Killers, The Rolling Stones, and many more. Any suggestions? I'm looking to hear things I haven't already played to death :P

You could try thrash metal bands like Sadus, Slayer, Lost society, Sodom, Destruction and bands like thaat.
Gabber (early hardcore) is also great if you want to try fast paced music. 3 steps ahead, Angerfist, Gabber Piet, are all fine choices.
Humppa is a little different from the ones i mentioned earlier but is still cool, espeally Eläkeläiset, they have also made covers of many rock and metal songs, of course tgey've added a twist to the songs which you probably either love or hate.

Those are just something i like. You may or may not like them but give them a try, it can't hurt to try.

Umm I would definitely look into Avenged Sevenfold and Fall Out Boy. If you want mainstream or electronic I highly recommend Avicii and Kaskade.

Try listning to Men At Work...you will probably know them for "I come from a Land Down Under" but most of their other stuff is fantastic...At least listen to "Who Can It Be Now" it's my favourite song :)

How heavy do you want it mate?
Try listening to Trivium. If you want something heavier and you don't mind some Satanism :D then Gorgoroth would be your answer

Maybe you'll like God is an Astronaut, some nice instrumental post-rock!

(It's odd being a metalhead and barely listening to rock)

I would go onto pandora and listen to Rolling Stones radio or Pink Floyd radio because they play other rock n roll groups like you like! :)

Area 11 and In Colour are fairly badass bands. Most of the stuff Dan Weller is involved in is gold though.
