What are you're favourite bands from the 1980's? I think 80's music is getting a big revival, and everyone likes at least SOME 80's music...who are youre favourite artists?
for me it's Men At Work, Tears for Fears, Soft Cell and a load more I cant name

Just about everything you guys have mentioned.
Additionally, Bruce Springsteen, Def Leppard, Toto, Black Sabbath/Ozzy, Billy Joel, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Whitesnake, Alphaville, Asia, Genesis/Phil Collins... and a ton more in between.

I haven't really heard any 80's music that I dislike... I'm pretty open and tolerant of most of the rock, metal, and pop of the period.

Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Destruction, Sodom, Exumer and more.

I haven't really listened to much else than thrash when it comes to the 80's.

Well, Genesis is my favorite band of all time, so I guess that would be my favorite 80s band. Besides them, I liked pretty much everything Tears for Fears put out during the 80s. Once the 90s came around they kind of lost their lustre, sadly. Level 42 was great as well, some of their best stuff was the stuff you never hear anymore.

Did I mention I love synthesizers?

*cuts through the metalheads*

I guess Depeche Mode and The Cure for me (if they count, kind of reached peak success in very late 1980s. I say they count) followed by Siouxsie. 90s is my my area; I've never really been into 80s. My only other notable pre-90s artist would be David Bowie and my favourite of his is 70s.
