Hi everyone.
Not sure where to post this... So here goes,

I'm not sure how to call it, but I basically always feel like I have a lot of trouble getting back into a routine after a vacation.

For example, today is the first day of school again after the holidays, and I feel anxious, sick, and depressed. This always happens, and I always get very anxious and nervous. Is anyone else experiencing things like this?

Oh, I should also add that I'm very Neurotic.

I am feeling like that too, and it's also usual for me to feel like that around this time too. I just need a week or two to fully get back into the routine, in the meanwhile it helps me to keep reminders everywhere about where I have to go and what I have to do... sticky notes, calendar reminders on my Hotmail, etc.

For me it's the opposite I get that (anxiety, panic, etc) at the start of the holiday when I'm getting out of a routine and it's usually a relief to get back into a routine. If you get anxiety/panic attacks because of it or get anxiety in general what you need to do is -
Relax - deep breathing, remind yourself that it will pass.
Stop negative thoughts - you can literally say stop in your head or out loud, whatever works to break the loop of bad thoughts
Reassure yourself - e.g. 'It's happened before and I got through it'

You can help reduce stress etc by being prepared and having all your stuff organised the night before you go back. Make lists of things you need to remember. If it's been happening for a while it could help to go to a doctor about it. Hope this helps and take care :)
