I was cut as a baby.After reading more about circumcision, I wissh my parents had left e intact. According to medical documentation, the foreskin that is removed with circumcision contains about 18-40,000 nerves. Nerves that could have been used to heighten my sexual pleasure.

Do you think girls should have their clitoral hood cut off? The purpose is the same as our foreskin: That tissue is supposed to protect & enhance our most sensitive sexual nerves. I suspect that NONE of us would advocate for clipping the clitoral hood, so why the foreskin? The medical information available @ the time SUGGESTED (did not PROVE) that an intact foreskin is much more likely to increase cancer of the penis. America jumped on that bandwagon in the 1950s, & only recently has the American Academy of Pediatrics come forward with a recommendation against circumcision!

I'm cut, and i was cut when i was a baby. :) I don't think there is a difference in feeling of uncut and cut normally, but you can tell because you're missing foreskin.

I was cut when I was 13 because I hated having a foreskin. Best decision I ever made. I love the feeling of my exposed head rubbing on my underwear and the sheets at night. It is also easy to keep clean and never a bad smell. I would never want my foreskin back.

If you are already talking with your parents about getting circumcised, you are over half way there. My hardest part was getting up the guts to talk with my parents. After they knew I wanted it done, things went fast and actually pretty easy. I am well pleased with my decision to get cut. I encourage you to make up your mind and let your parents know. Ask questions if I can help with your decision.

Yea that's the thing for me too. Talking to my mum about it. She asked why and I made a bit like a small complain. She said that she would arrange it so I'm happier now. I also wanna know how was yours like. Painful? Surgery.

Mine went fast and good. I saw the doctor the day after I talked to my parents. Two weeks later it was done. One week after that the stitches came out. After winter break I went back to school with no restrictions. What pain there was was keep under control. When I started to hurt, I took a pill. This only went on for about 4 days. Each day I took fewer pills because it hurt less each day. Now I like everything about being cut. Congratulations on having the guts to talk with your mom. I was much happier too once my parents knew how much I wanted it done and they had said yes. I think most parents would want this for their son once they know they want it. Stay happy and look forward to being cut. Let us know as things move forward.

Because in my opinion the intact looks better because it looks natural. You know intact is the way it has to be, no scar and an uniform color

No, looks better is looks better and natural is natural. Most of guys/girls prefer shaved, and natural is not shaved, so again, no, natural could be but it's not equal to looking better.

But, in the case of the penis, if you think that, cool, it is your opinion, without a doubt :yes:

But that is precisely the point. Those who originally advocated neonatal circumcision for non-jewish boys were against pleasure and particularly masturbation.

Anecdotes suggest that it does not achieve the effect the puritans were after. Circumcision certainly does not stop masturbation and many feel that their sexual pleasure in unreduced. Perhaps this is because the brain adapts to fewer active nerve endings by amplifying the signal from those that remain. Certainly the brain gets used to differing levels of all sorts of stimuli.

As attitudes changed a new reason was needed, hence the cancer story. Some may have genuinely believed a reduction in cancer risk made circumcision worthwhile but the data does not, and never has, supported that view. There is a small decrease in what is already a very low risk but not enough to justify the risks of the procedure.

The evidence has not changed. What has happenned is that medicine has moved from doing what the top doctors think should be best based on their understanding of how the body works to doing what has been proved to be a useful treatment based on measured results.

So, the evidence says there is no value in performing circumcision as a preventative measure and that is now what the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends - that it not be done.

What we are left with is momentum. Fathers who were circumcised when they were babies who think their son should look how they do. Mothers who worry how their son will cope with being the odd one out in his class by not being circumcised and boys who worry about whether girls will find a uncut penis attractive.

Cosmetic ideas are not absolute but are subject to fashion. In Europe and much of the rest of the world, where circumcision is much rarer and being uncut is the norm, girls have no problem being attracted to, falling in love with, and having sex with, guys who are uncut because that is what they are used to.

Here in the Uk it is the norm for pubescent girls and women to shave their armpits. In some other countries in Europe it is the norm to leave them alone. Here in the UK some men shave their bodies but most don't. From what I read on here America seems obsessed with shaving.

Circumcising for cosmetic reasons seems to me to be a rotten idea, though if someone old enough to understand decides to get circumcised for cosmetic reasons that is up to him. It does seem to me, though, that deciding that your child should undergo irreversible cosmetic surgery because you, the adult, think it would look better is morally wrong.

I was cut at birth and that pisses me off! Why are parents allowed to do this it's something that the baby has to live with for their entire life! All it is is genital mutilation and it has to stop NOW!!

I was cut when I was a baby so I had no choice. Although I don't care that I'm cut I would however like to be uncut. There are more nerves in your cut off foreskin that can make your sexual pleasure much higher. So I would agree with Elmoc

I'm cut. I got cut when I was a baby just for religious purposes (I'm Jewish). I would much rather be uncut so I would have more feeling, but I just have to live with it and it's not that big of a deal.
