Hey, so this isn't necessarily a problem, it's more of the opposite, but I'm kinda curious if this happens to anyone else or I'm just weird.

So to my knowledge, my hormones and testosterone and all that stuff is completely normal. However, I have the voice of what people have described as a 40 year old black guy. And, as you can see, I'm very white and not intimidating in any way, so it really doesn't match me all that well. I dunno. Just kinda curious if anyone else has this blessing/curse (It has it's goods and bads, as with most things).

I know loads of people who have voices that don't match their appearance at all, on a personal level I think It's pretty cool. Your voice doesn't define you and I hear that a lot of people really like deep voices.

If I were in your position, looked pretty non-intimidating and such and had a deep voice - I wouldn't mind at all, haha! :D

I think that people will eventually get used to the voice that you have. I wouldn't worry about it.

Well a "40 year old black guy" wouldn't have only got that deep voice he has probably had it for a couple decades

Everyone's voice is weird when they are pubescent. Don't worry about it.

I know exactly what you mean, my friend Jack who's 16 has a voice like that. He looks like a surfing guy straight out of Malibu, California!

He's also your stereotypical pot head. So yeah, his voice doesn't exactly fit him, but it's pretty kick-ass. I'd say you should embrace it. :D

Voice changing during puberty can change drastically for anyone. :) Color of your skin and looks do not effect voice change amount. It's perfectly normal to have a deep voice, and your voice might even out after a couple years. ;)

When I was younger, I had a pretty irritating - you know - almost screeching voice. When I entered puberty - quite early compared to my mates - everyone suddenly thought I was my dad, that's how deep my voice had become. Mind you, I was twelve years old. People would call our family and be like: "Oh my god, is that you?" Of course, I don't know the severity of your case but I think that time - and a bit of muscle exercise - will do the trick mate.

Your voice should mellow out over time

I mean that's a good thing to most people lol like my voice sounds all high like a Disney actor before all the drugs and stuff
