Well it's a couple days into 2014 and I feel it's time to reflect on your favourite album releases of 2013. I mean your picks can't possibly be any worse than other lists I've seen floating around. You can just list them if you want but I feel having one or two sentences explaining why you enjoyed the album might be good as well.

Album: Below The Noise
Artist: City In The Sea
Best Song/s: Overcast, Dead Beliefs
I found this album to be quite good despite the cookie-cutter nature of this band. The music is solid and the vocalists voices work well in tandem.

Album: Tomorrow We Die Alive
Artist: Born Of Osiris
Best Song/s: The Origin, Source Field
Despite losing a guitarist I found this album and it's songs to be engaging, diverse and complex.

Album: Perception
Artist: Breakdown Of Sanity
Best Song/s: The Writer, Chapters
This album is fucking brutal. The vocalist is amazing.

Album: Augment
Artist: Erra
Best Song/s: Pulse, Alpha Seed, Hybrid Earth
This album is really good, especially if you enjoy a complex sound.

Album: Bilo 3.0
Artist: David Maxim Micic
Best Song/s: All of them
This album is short, and every track is amazingly put together. It's also free.

Album: New Demons
Artist: I See Stars
Best Song/s: New Demons, Murder Mitten, Who Am I?
While not complex or technical in any way I found I See Stars' latest album to be quite brilliant in their combination of breakdowns and EDM.

Album: Singularity
Artist: Northlane
Best Song/s: Scarab, Aspire, The Calling
Northlane are brilliant. This album is inspirational and brilliant.

Album: Spilled Ink
Artist: Honour Crest
Best Song/s: Glaciers, Spilled Ink, Eclipse

Album: Hacktivist
Artist: Hacktivist
Best Song/s: Cold Shoulders, Elevate, Unlike Us
Combining djent and metal to brilliant effect, these guys are going to get far.

Album: Altered State
Artist: TesseracT
Best Song/s: All of them
This album is as close to perfection as any band is probably ever going to reach. Honestly every song on this album works in tandem and create a divine listening experience for anyone.

These aren't in any specific order FYI.

Album: Prism
Artist: Katy Perry
Best Song/s: Roar, Birthday, Walking On Air.

I'm one of those people who's totally into modern/pop music and I adore Katy Perry. I feel like this album showed the softer side of Katy's voice. Her previous album, Teenage Dream was more of an upbeat album. Now I'm rambling, but the point is that this album is great for all the right reasons!
