Hey,
So I was wondering why people have friends and best friends. The obvious answer would be that a best friend is closer to you than a normal friend is.
But I thinking, is it easier for you to consider someone your best friend if you have a crush on them? Say, you like them but when compared to other friends, the best friend doesn't come out on top.
I'm not exactly a popular person and can probably count my friends on my fingers, but every best friend (apart from one) that I've had I've had a crush on. And of those few, their personalities have been less than desirable (ignoring you, standing you up, only looking out for themselves etc..).
Has anyone else noticed a pattern like this or am I just a bad person?
Thanks
