I'm a junior in high school, and I'm already looking into colleges. I was given the spiel on digital footprint and all, how they search for you, etc. Digital footprint . . . can they see if you've been watching porn?
I don't know what else they do? Dig through your email? But the question is the porn. Thanks.

I don't think this is the right section for that question. It's not anything related to Puberty for Boys. Anyways, if you were saving pornography on your computer then they certainly might be able to see it. However if you were watching it online in a browser that doesn't keep track of your history then they won't be able to see it. :) A digital footprint can track a lot of things including sites you've logged in to, emails, chats, all documents on your computer, etc.
However colleges will most likely not check any of that stuff. :)
Here is the description as stated in wiki:
The activities and behaviours recorded may include system login and logouts, visits to a web-page, accessed or created files, emails, chat messages or any other material showing the activities undertaken. Some of this material may be available publicly to anyone searching for it while other material may be inaccessible without access rights or, for some kinds of data that are not usually available publicly, legal action. Interested parties can use data they have found for evidence, data mining or profiling purposes.

No, they cannot.
Unless you're looking to get in the CIA or something, haha. Colleges may look at your facebook or something, I highly doubt anything beyond that

As someone who is in college, probably not. I've torrented and watched my fair share of porn over the University's network. I don't think the IT guys are monitoring what sites people are going to. But even if they were, they wouldn't care. When you're in college, you're an adult. It's perfectly legal to watch porn as an adult, so have at it!
(And you certainly wouldn't be the only one.)

Yeah, they might look into social media sites and stuff like that but other than that it would be too much trouble to look into specifics about every applicant.
Either way, I'm sure a majority of the applicants have watched porn befpre, therefore it wouldn't be weird. Also colleges wouldn't care about things like that
