Striking up a conversation with the person you like.

I know how but some people might not. What are some ways?

On the rare occasions I initiate conversation with a person I'm interested in I usually just walk up and say "you have a nice face" or something along those lines.

I think the best conversations start randomly or by mistake, if you try to start A conversation with "you have a nice face" or just Hi 8/10 unless you have something to say its just going to turn awkward.

Just go up to the person and be nice and find interests you both share. Just start with hi or what's up or hey don't I know you? Then again if you're one of those people who completely get tongue tied and nervous around the person just talk as normal as you can and if you say something stupid like "do you like peas" just go with it. Im pretty sure girls can tell when we like them and find our nervous outbursts cute or something
