Okay I am a 14 year old boy.
Sometimes when I stand up quickly or move in a semi awkward way, my back sort of locks into place and it really hurts when I try to move it again.
After about 5 mins the pain goes away. The pain is like a stabbing pain in the center left of my back. Please answer ASAP on what I should do...
I don't want to go to the doctors because I might be wasting their time if it is nothing major..

My advice would be to see a Chiropractor. Their job is to assess back pain and correct it. Because I've had back pain in the past, it sounds like you have a pinched nerve. That basically means that a few bones in your spine (vertebrae) are out of alignment and pinch a nerve whenever you bend in that awkward position. It pinches only when you do that awkward move because your vertebrae move as you bend.

So yeah, see a chiropractor. You will not be wasting their time.

Thanks for replying so fast, it really made me stop worrying.
It happened a few years ago when I stayed at a Hotel and I slipped in a revolving door and it was pushing up against my back for a good hour whilst I had to be cut free...

definetly back problems, and that could be very serious.
You won't waist the doctors time; this is what they are for, right? ;0

It could be a pulled muscle or a pinched nerve. I would go see either your family doctor or a chiropractor.

UPDATE: Apparently I have mild scoliosis. I won't need to have surgery.
My spine is mildly bent, the dr said a brace sort of thing may help to keep the spine in place where I am still growing.
