Have you ever gotten to a point in your life where you just want somebody? You want somebody soooo bad? It doesn't matter who it is, you just want somebody to be there. To hold you. Or just 'love on you'. And you don't want somebody in your family, even though they're there all the time. You want somebody that was once a stranger but you now know very well...well that's exactly where I'm at. Yes, I have loving family and some, haha, some loving friends. But I just want somebody to just.....care. Have you ever been in that point of your life?

I'm exactly going through that moment, right now. You're not alone, really, if you have friends, stick to them, make them know you care, and hopefully they will care about you in the same way.

I have been at that point in my life and honestly, it made me realise that I didn't care who it was that gave me the love, I just wanted that intimacy with someone. You realise that you like the things someone says to you and how they treat you, rather than necessarily wanting to be with them.

I think everyone has felt like that at one point or another in their life. But you have to realize that your personal happiness does not, and can not, depend upon someone else. We as humans are constantly moving from one thing to the next, thinking that that will bring us happiness. But happiness isn't a goal; it's a state of being. Try to spend time focusing on each moment that you are alive. We often go through our day passively doing one thing or another, while our mind is in a different place. But try being actively engaged and aware of everything you are doing. Each precious moment of life that you have. And you will find that you come to appreciate the small, yet beautiful things that life has to offer much more.

And a lot of people don't...but I'm just seeing everybody in a relationship and they have somebody, and I'm over here like, "I've got somebody, their name is the refrigerator, and we're madly in love." Haha

I read that and just went "that just explians everything that i'm currently feeling"!! I think everybody feels that way at some point in their lives. Its kinda just human nature and how social interactions on that intimate level can dictate how we feel. But as said above we've gotta look at the smaller things in life and learn to appreciate even the tiniest of things :)

How though? How then do we learn to get over the feeling of loneliness? That feeling inside that just makes you feel empty...

Oh my gosh. Yes! yes! yes! I feel the exact way, and i have for a couple years. I just wish i could have someone there for me and i could be there for them y'know? Like i wish i could just cuddle with them and feel save with each other... I hope one day i'll find someone that can make me feel that way...

That posts sums up my feelings. I've never been one much to explore my sexuality, still I'm not sure what I am even though I prefer boys. But, now from never dating and being shy and lonely I want some guy to hold me and love me back. Not sex, just intimacy.

It happens to me right now. It's pretty hard to deal with; I have this urge to hold, kiss and never let this person go. It makes me suffer physically.

I guess that's exactly what I want. Intimacy. Just to feel safe in someone's arms.

If you believe in any god(s)/higher being(s), talk to him/her/them/it. You'd be surprised how much it can make a difference. Not like a, "Hey, can you give me a boyfriend/girlfriend?" but instead just communicate with them. If you don't believe in anything or it's not working, reflect on happy moments you've had in your life. If you get the feeling at night, hug a pillow. Everyone gets that feeling at some point in time.
