Boyfriend doesn't like texting?

So my boyfriend doesn't like texting he told me. He says he doesn't like texting anyone in general. I don't want to lose contact with him but if he doesn't like texting I don't want to text him too often. Do teens sometimes go through a phase like this? Is there any way I can make him more interested in our conversations over texts so he doesn't get bored or annoyed? Any advice would be appreciated.

Start calling him? I don't think it's a matter of him not liking to talk, but rather him just preferring live conversation as opposed to texting.

Even though I post gobs, I don't like texting. Some ppl are just not comfortable with it.

You can Skype, Oovoo, Telephone call, voice call, Facetime, etc...

If he doesn't want to do any of these, I'd assume that you need to talk to him as to why he doesn't want to talk. Either that, or he's genuinely anti-social.

I get like this sometimes... its a phase I guess you could say. I just get tired of constantly having to deal with people. Even when I had a gf i would tell her I'm tired of texting and she would understand and we would just go on with our lives for a few hours... i mean just because your dating someone that doesn't mean you need constant contact.

You see, I never understood the whole "we're in a relationship, therefore, need be be in contact 24-7" thing... I find it understandable that he would be opposed to texting.

Ask him how he suggests communicating if he doesn't want to text or ask him why it's troublesome for him.

He may be going through a phase or that just may be his personal opinion. Just refrain from texting and stuff but use other methods like calling and video calling, you know the lot. You can use texting of course for simple things like asking where they are or something like that but don't be too upset about it. Personally, I feel like it's sweeter when you talk to each other and can hear their voice.

Maybe he's not just into texting. there are people like that. i dont like texting too. even how much i would like to text anyone i still couldnt bring myself to hold my phone and text. and i dont like calling too.

Thanks everyone for your replies I really appreciate them. He did say it was probably just a phase and that texting has just gotten annoying to him for some reason. I told him there are other ways of talking and he said sure so we've been talking without texting. Thank you everyone for your help! Really appreciated :)

you can use apps in your phone or call him instead :)
