U should put it on top of the penis, and if your penis curves, straighten it it as best you can

Lay the ruler along the top of the penis. Press it up against the skin above the base of the penis, but do not press into your skin. It should not indent any.

As mentioned above, if your penis curves up significantly, try to straighten it out as best as possible. Then measure to the tip.

You'll want to be as fully erect as possible.

Put the ruler on the top. If your penis curves then you can bend the ruler a little without snapping

You'll want to measure your penis by placing a ruler at the top of your penis at the base of the shaft where the ruler touches your skin. If your penis curves or bends, just be sure to use your other hand to hold your penis in place. You should be able to get an accurate measurement.
