How to approach girls

I dont know many girls at the moment, i dont really hang out with people other then my older hot rodder mates (early 20's)
whenever im in the city or something i always see some pretty girls, and i wanna go and meet them, but i just dno what to say.
Could especially use help from girls here
maybe some experienced guys too

It all depends the girl you want. If you want a kind of shallow, but amazing-looking girl, usually athletic bodies will do the trick. Dont be goofy or nerdy with them. But if you want a nicer, sweet girl, usually telling "funny" jokes should work.(no dumb knock knocks or dumb pick-up lines)

i was @ this hot rod event yesterday and ive seen this girl a million times around the place, i decided to make a move, i just said hi & introduced myself and talked a little about her daddys car. Couldnt really spark much conversation:S
