Hi everyone! I'm new here so I figured I would go ahead and start a thread.

If so how many and what kind? A dog. Her name is Holly
What are some of your hobbies? Music, singing, playing piano, spending time with my friends, video games, the internet
What are some of your talents? Music, singing, and some theatre
What makes you happy on a bad day? Good music
What do you do on rainy days? Listen to music, play around with my phone and computer, nap
What grade/year/etc are you in? First year in University
You receive good grades? Yup. Pulled a 3.8 this semester with 18 credits :)
What's your career path? I study Music Education
What are some other interests of yours? Science, gender and sexuality, social justice, politics
What is your favorite thing to do? See friends. Laugh. Smile. Have a good time. :)
What is your least favorite thing to do? Work so much that I become stressed and unhappy
What's your favorite food? Sushi
What's your favorite drink? Probably coffee
Who would you like to meet living or dead? A lot of people. If I had to choose one, I'd go with Charles Darwin or Christopher Hitchens. Richard Dawkins would also be on that list.
Who is your idol? Not sure I have one.
What is your favorite band? I've been listening to a lot of Passion Pit lately, but I don't know if I would use the word favorite.
What is your favorite song? Too many to name.

What made you want to join? I'd like to be able to give and receive advice.

-I'm in my first year at university, studding for a B.Mus in Choral Music Education. I hope to one day be a teacher of choirs and singing. :) I'm not sure exactly what level I want to teach at, but I eventually hope to receive a doctorate degree and teach higher education. I'm really interested in social justice issues, particularly gender and sexuality in young people, and I hope to be able to pick up a minor in that field. I hope to also do some research in that area of music education. I have a professor who has done research on sexuality and LGBT topics in music education, and I'd love to be able to help with that research.
I'm also a very friendly person, and I consider myself quite open-minded. Please feel free to contact me :). I hope to make lots of friends here.
