What is you're favourite piece of poetry? It doesnt have to be some fancy-ass poet or even a reall poem. Just a few lines that really speak to you...heres mine:

Demons run when a good man goes to war.
Night will fall and drown the sun,
When a good man goes to war.
Friendship dies and true love lies,
Night will fall and the dark will rise,
Demons run, but count the cost.
The battle's won but the child is lost
When a good man goes to war.

My English classes have taught me to really dislike poetry; they would always make us read super closely, dissect it, and over-analyze the crap out of it... That being said, I don't hate poetry, it just isn't something I'd read for pleasure... I do have a few favorites from Whitman and Elliot, though.

Shel Silverstein is probably my favorite poet (Him and Dr.Seuss if you call his books poetry lol) I've come to love his work. I always had his books around as a kid. Now I've come to realize I really don't like reading poetry (Or at least in school) but I love creating it.

I'm not one for poetry, but Catullus XVI is pretty funny. :D
