Long band names

A thing i, and probably every other person who likes metal, has noticed that newer bands tend to have longer names than before. For example Bullet for my valentine, Bring me the horizon, Heaven shall burn, Black veil brides, Five finger death punch, just to name a few. Sure long names have existed before in many other genres, like Dick Dale and his Del Tones or Teddy and The Tigers, but long names haven't been in metal before, sure there are exeptions but let's not concentrate on those.

So, long names. Good or bad, your opinion, i personally don't like them cause you have to use abbreviations or say the whole goddamn name.

Longest one I know is grindcore band Intracerebrally Consuming Cephalalgia Through The Cranium Macerating Debrisfucked Manure Ingested Remains Of The Mindfucked Cataplexic Wicked Mankind Whom Fistfucked The Progenies From The Deepest Depths Of The Analmaggot Raped Human Pieces Of Erotic Shitmasses Which Gave Birth To Worthless Eunuchs As Travesty For Cumstained Whorefaced Sluts Enslaved By This Stupid Society Full Of Fetal Garbages... or, as they nicknamed it, 55gore.

Edit: In metal's so broad... Most of the most modern bands I listen to have short(er) names: Anciients, Haken, Sithu Aye, Colossus, Odyssey, Ghost... In my discographies folder just Black Soul Horde, Horn of the Rhino and Spawn of Possession reach the three-word mark.

The lead guitarist of my band wanted to go with "I torched a bus full of Nuns and blamed it on an Autistic Boy" but in the end we went with "Hot Karl"

I think this one is the icing on the cake here. The only band I actually listen to that has a relatively long band name is The Presidents of the United States of America.

By the way, can someone fire Jimmy Carter? Yeah, the solo dude... he's taking sex, drugs and rock and roll a bit too far man.. too far.

Four words isn't that long in my opinion. The longest one I have on my phone (which only has about half of my music on it, but I digress) is Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra. Almost everything else fits on the screen.
