Am I the only one that feels like Josh Klinghoffer was not a good replacement for John Frusciante? I feel like I'm With You was really quite a lackluster album and I know it's not entirely because of John being gone but I feel like if he was still a Chili Pepper that it would've been better. So what is your opinion on Josh is he good, bad, or does he just need time to blossom?

Well for one those are some big ass shoes to fill.

Also it could be also that he isn't all that ''in tune'' with the rest of the band yet. Or maybe they are all losing some of their edge or just a slump.

Hyper is right, those are some serious shoes to fill. We're talking about John Frusciante, one of the best guitarists alive, imagine writing an album as his replacement right after his departure :P There was a lot of expectance for the album.

I think Josh is a great guitarist, he has the chops to play all of John's music live and he wrote a few really great songs on I'm With You (although the album is not my favorite either). I think Look Around is a great song, but in general I think Josh is a lot more experimental while John is much more of a pure rock guitarist. It's a slightly different vibe, but not one that I dislike nor is it one that I can't get into.
