People lie about their size for various reasons, some feel inadequate, others feel like having a larger member will them be more respected. The downside to this is that everyone assumes that everyone who says they're above 7" is lying. I myself have a member that's on the larger side and it's difficult to convey to people that it is the truth. Lying about the size won't make any difference to it, and besides, on this site you're anonymous. There really is no point in lying, but people still do. It's just on of those things that you cant change and have to deal with (similar to your size). As Jessicaann put, guys sometimes tell girls a crazy big number, but then if they mess around the truth comes out, so lying does nothing.

Some people lie because it's either an ego thing or something that they can brag about online. I'm personally about 6 inches and like 4 or so inches thick. I wish I were a bit bigger, but I'm happy with it and feel no need to lie.

On sites like this, people can lie about being like 9 inches and get away with it because it's not like we're going to be asking for photographic proof.
